Micaela has danced her way through life. She has studied and become proficient in various dance forms such as Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Latin Ballroom, Samba, Hip-Hop, and Flamenco. She attained her B.A. from UCLA in World Arts & Cultures, with a concentration on World Dance, and Choreography. She has been featured choreographer for Glendale Community College, and has produced, directed and choreographed a body of original interdisciplinary and intercultural dance works featured in various performance series including “Monday Matinees, a Weekly Series of Scholarship and Performance,” at “Culture Crossings,” at “Fowler Outloud,” in the Fowler Cultural Museum, and at the Electric Lodge in Venice. She has also been Dance Consultant for Univision KMEX Channel 34 News, and has been featured in "22 Segundos de Fama," for Telemundo KWHY Channel 22. She has danced and toured with some of LA’s most well known Flamenco dance companies, such as The Arte Flamenco Dance Theater, Mojacar Flamenco, de Gracia y Pasion, and Almardiente Flamenco. In 2009 she danced in her third production with the Los Angeles Opera, having danced in the Zarzuela titled “Luisa Fernanda,” starring Placido Domingo in 2007, “Carmen,” in ’08, and "The Barber of Seville," in December of '09.
